HOWDY!

I am a Texas girl living on the beautiful coast of Florida, armed with my Southern kitchen favorites and traditions. I am currently a senior at the University of West Florida studying English Literature. Cooking has been my escape and a way for me to relax and unwind.

I am married to my best friend and favorite taste tester, Ty, who is in the United States Air Force. We have two fur babies, Charlie and Nova, and they are our entire world. 

Because I got married so young, one of the most daunting things starting out was making a wholesome meal to keep us from getting homesick and "missing momma's cooking." Moving out on my own, I had to either learn to cook or waste money eating out every night. The more I experimented with recipes and ingredients, the more I fell in love with cooking. Over time, my flavor pallet and skills improved.

So, grab your apron and cutting boards. It's going to get messy!
